Fabric from Svenskt Tenn, Lampshade by us!
Framed letterpress print by Julia Rothman for Hello Lucky available here.

It's taken a long time to get round to cover these retro chairs with this Josef Frank fabric but we are so pleased with the result. For more info on Josef Frank go here. We bought the fabric quite a few years ago on a trip to Stockholm from a shop called Svenskt Tenn. What I like about it is it's boldness, there is no holding back with colour and no conforming to interior "trends" although this fabric is a trend in itself now.

This particular pattern called Teheran was designed in the 1940s but not printed in Sweden until 1991.

The Svenskt Tenn team all believe in quality crafts in the same way as William Morris. Local production and high standards of quality result in their products being design classics with a unique feel. Have a look at this film showing the printing process. Very inspiring!

As you've probably guessed we're into sustainability. This is one of the best illustrations I've seen demonstrating the point of unsustainable growth... a giant hamster... pure genius!
