The first wave of new designs are now available. We do have a full catalogue in store and all designs are available as small, medium or large shades with the option for hanging or lampstands. More to come!

Aspects of Kings Park - some photos

 

Some photos of the mural on the windows of Aspects. You can't really appreciate the glinting gold from the photos. September is wildflower season and Kings Park Festival hosts lots of events through out the month. More details here.

 Here is the giant map we created to jigsaw all the part together. All the drawing were handdrawn on paper, then scanned and converted into cutting files and placed on the giant map to create this swirl effect. The design reflects my journey of discovery into the world of these incredibly rare plants. What surprised me was that so many species of plants are not even classed as rare only occur in a very small area of WA.

New Wildflower Collection - first glimpse

Here is a first glimpse at our new collection. These are notecards and postcards especially printed for Aspects of Kings Park featuring some of our new designs. These designs will also be printed on Lampshades, Coasters, Magnets, Cushions and other new exciting products over the next month.

Celebrations - Urban Locavore

We finally finished our new mural for the windows of Aspects in Kings Park to be installed on 30th August in time for the start of the Kings Park Festival and Wildflower season.

To celebrate we indulged ourselves in an Urban Locavore Box. We dived into this lovely treat box of locally made produce and polished off the Nougat and Chocolate straight away. The coffee, smoked chorizo and blue cheese made a luxurious Sunday lunch...mmmm Each month, Urban Locavore hand picks 6 to 10 of Western Australia’s best products and delivers them directly to your door. Everything is also soooo tasty and it feels like Christmas opening up the box...

They also have a Facebook page where you can drool at what dishes other Urban Locavore Box receivers have made with their new discoveries.

When we have recovered from our food extravaganza we may give you a preview of the new collection :)

A+ Grade Master Square

 

Adam is always telling us to use the right tool for the right job and as a designer I have to admit sometimes I've been known to use a pair of fabric scissors on paper. Not good.

This is Adam's new discovery from Vesper Tools.  Vesper Tools is a small Australian business run by Chris Vesper with a passion for making the highest quality and best value woodworking hand tools in the world. They not only work perfectly but they are built to last a very long time. This one has a special support tab that allows the square to sit flat along an edge rather than hang down.

Adam has forbidden us from using this to make sure we cut our afternoon tea at precise angles as this precision tool should only to be used to check other Try squares :)
