New shop sign

We felt it was time we updated our look with a new logo and sign. Our logo is inspired by a flow diagram showing our design process from spark of inspiration through to display in the store! We'll be updating our blog and shop over the next few weeks.

iPad stands

If you visited the Perth Upmarket this weekend you would have been the first to see our new iPad stands. Made in Australian Oak they make reading those recipes in the kitchen much easier, turns your iPad into a Photo viewer and is generally a very handy place to keep your iPad!

Installation of our window mural for Aspects, Kings Park

This years theme for our mural was "50 years of flower power" a celebration of the Kings Park Wildflower Festival. We wanted to create a retro but modern design. As usual Ian and Adam successfully completed the jigsaw puzzle of elements that make up this layered design.

To see the finished installation you'll have to take a trip up to Aspects in Kings Park, Perth.

A new adventure - a visit to Stoke-on-Trent

These mugs coming to you soon!
We thought we'd share a bit of our recent adventure overseas. As you are aware we make most of our products in house with the exception of the T-shirts. However we have always had quite a passion for ceramics (and an extensive collection of retro pieces). We tried to find manufacturers of quality fine bone china in Perth but alas we couldn't find anyone. We are not quite at the the scale of making our own ceramics just yet so we took a visit to Stoke-on-trent, the home of fine bone china.

We have our own kiln and decal making facilities in our studio so we will be getting this factory in Stoke-on-trent to make our blanks for us and we will decorate them here in Perth. We thought you'd like to see inside the factory as much as we did! They are one of the few remaining factories in Stoke that still manufacture in the UK. Although their will be a few kms to get them to Perth, we felt we really wanted to be part of this ongoing history.

We also visited the Potteries Museum and came across this plate that made us thought of our very own mining-based country :)
